The Journal of Resistance Literature (JRL), as a scientific-research publication, has commenced its activities with a transdisciplinary and identity-building vision. In its overarching horizon, the journal seeks to establish "Resistance Literature" as an independent and theoretically-grounded literary style, a style that transcends the merely historical narratives of war to evolve into a dynamic discourse within the cultural framework of national, religious, and international resistance. By providing a platform for the publication of original research by scholars and academics, we endeavor to build a bridge between generations and to institutionalize the sublime values of the Sacred Defense, Jihad, and martyrdom within the country's scientific and academic system.

Scope

With a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach, this journal welcomes the submission of articles addressing the following areas (though not limited to these):

• Theoretical Foundations and Stylistics: Examination and elucidation of the scientific, cultural-artistic, and linguistic fundamentals of resistance literature; stylistic analysis of poetry and prose with an emphasis on the content level; analysis of the historical, doctrinal, and indigenous roots of this literature in Iran and the world.
• Textual Analysis and Introduction of Works: Identification, introduction, and critical analysis of prominent works of resistance poetry and prose, including the written works of martyrs of the Islamic Revolution and the Sacred Defense, documents, memoirs, and oral history.
• Identity Interactions and Contemporary Discourses: Elucidation of the interaction between resistance literature and the Islamic Awakening, international resistance, and religious-national identity; and examination of its position in the age of virtual communication and in the scientific-educational system of Iran.
• Comparative and Social Studies: Analysis of the reflection of women's participation in the arenas of the Revolution and the Sacred Defense; study of resistance literature for children and adolescents; and the role of this literature in transmitting the epic of Ashura (Imam Hussein's stand) and the valor of the eight years of the Sacred Defense to the current generation.

Aims

1. Discourse-Building and Theorization: Establishing resistance literature as an influential literary style at both the national and transnational levels, and striving for the further recognition and formalization of this discipline within the country's educational and research system.
2. Identifying Components and Characteristics: Precisely identifying the intellectual, linguistic, and structural characteristics governing resistance poetry and prose, and delineating its conceptual boundaries in relation to other literary genres.
3. Disseminating Values and Identity-Building: Promoting the culture of sacrifice, martyrdom, and resistance within scientific communities by re-examining authentic texts of the Sacred Defense and linking them to the foundational concepts of Ashura, in order to reinforce religious-national identity and counter cultural encroachment.
4. Comprehensive Critique and Critical Assessment (Priority Area): With a critical approach, the journal engages in a comprehensive assessment of resistance literature, encompassing the following axes:

- Critical assessment of the application of literary theories in this field.
- Content, linguistic, and structural critique of published works (poetry, fiction, documents, and memoirs).
- Analysis and critique of sanctification and de-sanctification in resistance texts.
- Critical assessment of the performance of active institutions (universities, congresses, media, publishers, etc.) in the production and dissemination of resistance literature.
- Critique of the memoirs and oral history of the Sacred Defense with the aim of enhancing the quality of written documentation.

5. Cosmopolitanism and Future Studies: Examining the global dimensions of resistance literature, analyzing its interaction with the literature of other struggling nations, and investigating the developments of this field within the context of virtual communication and new media.

Through rigorous scientific methodologies and analytical research, the Journal of Resistance Literature (JRL) endeavors to commemorate the unparalleled sacrifices of the Sacred Defense era and the eternal epic of Karbala, while taking an effective step toward the elevation of the culture of resistance and the production of indigenous knowledge in this arena. In doing so, it aims to fulfill its role in nurturing a generation that is both conscious of and committed to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.
