Abstract
Sadegh Hedayat's story Takht Abu Nasr is about the presence of the Americans in Iran seeking to explore Iran and find the historical monuments of Iran. This excavation group in the historic province of Fars explores Iran and its culture, customs and traditions. Sadegh Hedayat, through tone, denuemont, and suspense, shows us that the Westerners are plundering Iran. The purpose of this article is Orientalist interpretation of the story of "Abkhaz Abounasr" by Sadiq Hedayat. This paper examines the confrontation between the West and the East baesd on Edward Said's Orientalism. According to Orientalism, the West seeks to recognize other cultures in order to show itself superior to other cultures, especially the culture of the East. The findings of this research show that dominant dualism is prevalent in Abu Nasr's story, and the West considers itself superior to the East. Hedayat resists the presence of Westerners in Iran and depicts the plundering and capture of the material and spiritual wealth of this land by Westerners.
