After the coup of April 1978 (7th of Soar, 1357), contemporary Afghan resistance poetry became the foundation for various poetic movements, each shaped by the poets' own political and social idealism. Colors, as essential elements of imagery in poetry, were used by these poets as symbols to express their personal emotions and feelings. They employed color symbolism not only to create vivid images and convey concrete realities but also to evoke abstract and metaphorical meanings. This article examines the use of color symbolism in the poetry of Qahar Asi, focusing on the colors red, yellow, purple, black, gray, and white, which frequently appear in his work. Using a descriptive-analytical method, the study reveals that Qahar Asi uses red to signify martyrdom, sacrifice, and social unrest; yellow and purple to depict despair and hopelessness; and black, gray, and white to represent tyranny, fear, destruction, intimacy, innocence, and purity. The research highlights the significant role that colors play in reflecting the poet's emotional response to the fate of the people.
