Ashura was and is one of the foundations of inspiration for the poets of Iran, and in each period and in accordance with the events of the same era, poets have a special view of expressing this event. One of the most important characteristics of resurrection and preservation of the Ashura movement among people is its reflection in the poems of Ashura poets. Poets who, in addition to praising Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his loyal companions, expressed the oppressed and the rightness of the uprising, looked at women differently and took a role model from this incident, satirized his enemies. Each poet pursues a specific goal while giving a general description of this event, and for this reason, in this research, we analyzed the recognition and reproduction of the Ashura movement in the poems of four Ashura poets of the Safavid, Qajar, and contemporary eras. This research has been carried out by a descriptive-analytical method based on the library method. Mohtsham, Amman and Baida have mostly expressed the oppression of Imam Hossein (A.S.) and his family; However, Shahriar invites the audience to follow the example of the Ashura event. Oman draws a mystical conclusion from this event and considers Imam Hussain (A.S.) to be the only one who is willing to drink the cup. While describing the battle scenes, Baida paid more attention to the character of Hazrat Zainab (pbuh) and her functions and used Iranian cultural elements such as untangling and plucking hair, Qasim's wedding, etc. in his poems.
