Folk literature presents unembellished yet artistic accounts of life that, with their palpable honesty and sincerity, narrate life events in a sweet and delightful manner. Joys and sorrows, failures and triumphs, and successes and setbacks are all reflected within them, with songs representing the most artistic forms of folk literature. One of the most prominent and recurring themes in these songs is the reflection of a spirit of bravery and resistance. This study, employing direct source research and library-based investigation, aimed to examine and evaluate how the components of resistance are reflected in the folk literature of Kerman Province, focusing specifically on the songs of Sirjan. The findings revealed that descriptions and praises of local heroes, glorification of the spirit of bravery, opposition to oppression and hatred of foreign domination, revenge-seeking, and even pride in and attachment to firearms are among the key manifestations of resistance in these songs. Furthermore, such components are not limited to songs but can also be found in lullabies.
