One of the approaches in the stylistic analysis of narrative literature is the examination of writers’ styles based on gender and the stylistic differences between female and male writers. Structural and thematic levels constitute the principal domains in which such differences are manifested. Female writers have made significant contributions to the narrative literature of the Sacred Defense and have devoted considerable attention to depicting the Iraq-Iran War. The presence of female characters and their roles in confronting war constitute the central theme of these stories. The present study undertook a stylistic analysis of a selection of short stories by certain female writers on the theme of the Sacred Defense from the collection Ice in Heaven. It aimed to examine the components of feminine style and their relationship with the concept of resistance. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical method based on library research. The results of the study indicated that, at the lexical level, feminine style is characterized by a high frequency of sensory vocabulary and extensive use of descriptive compounds, while the occurrence of taboo words is limited. At the syntactic level, most sentences are simple, short, and compound. The grammatical voice of the texts is predominantly active, reflecting the agency of the characters; consequently, material processes expressed through verbs also occur with high frequency. The rhetorical structure of the stories is based on simile, particularly sensory-to-sensory similes. At the ideational level, the focus is on love and religious themes, while female characters occupy the central roles in the stories.
