Man Zendeam is one of the war memory-writing, that is not only the expresses of the author's personal experiences but also a deep reflection of the concept of initiation in the sacred defense literature. the hero of this memory-writing has left the transitional stages behind him that has changed his character. this study investigates different aspects of initiation in this memory-writing and its effect on author's personality development. this research is based on myth and psychoanalytic criticism (initiation rites of Eliade – Campbell's hero's journey) and has analyzed the data by relying on library resources and descriptive-analytical method. most of the features initiation in Eliade's theory, in the main sections of the author's life (birth, childhood and maturity), it is quite obvious. separation from family and entering other worlds and finally, spiritual changes of the main character show how these stages influence the formation of identity and human values. revolution , war and captivity are the most important tests that the author has passed and has reached maturity. he seeks to qualify for his proof and to reach the acceptability and he collapses his present existence and reborn. the author seeks to have influential role in the process of events in the society and is an active and effective woman. this study shows that war in the literature of sacred defense is not only a military phenomenon but also a sacred space, which is considered to be a type of introduction to spiritual worlds and values of god .
