This article examines and analyzes the constituent elements of the literary movement, with a special focus on "Holy Defense Fiction Literature." Despite the frequent use of the term "movement" in literary studies, its precise definition and components have remained ambiguous. With an analytical-rational approach, the present study identifies and explains five main elements that constitute the essence of a literary movement. From the perspective of literary movement studies, four essential components are necessary for the stability and validity of a movement: historical and social context, a shared central idea or ideology, common style and technique in the language and structure of works, and literary paratexts and institutions.
The author emphasizes that Holy Defense fiction literature, over the past four decades, has provided a foundation for the formation of various literary practices, highlighting the need to explain its components and theoretical structure, with a focus on this case study. The article also stresses the necessity of elevating the concept of "movement" from a conventional usage to a scientifically established term, defining the nature of the literary movement as the basis for movement analysis, and distinguishing it from other similar concepts.
